Marcie & Zion

January 25, 2019

This session has so much meaning & significance for Marcie my eyes are welling up with tears as I write & share these images with you today.

If you’ve ever met Marcie, you’d know right away that she’s 1 in a million. She gives off a unique energy that draws you right in & makes you feel so warm and positive. Marcie, can I keep you in my pocket, please?

We started the session in Marcie’s home because the light there is so beautiful, her interior style is killer & anytime I can I love taking photos in people’s home because homes are ever-changing and it’s really fun to look back and see the way you decorated. The main location for our session was at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, CT because this location holds a very special place in Marcie’s heart.  In 2014 she decided to take pictures of Seaside Park every day for a whole year. You can view her beautiful images of the park here. Don’t they just draw you right in & have so much to say?

In March 2018, during a blizzard, Marcie labored at Seasides for a little bit. It was incredibly stormy outside as she was laboring and guess what? On the day of our shoot in August, a last minute thunderstorm rolled in. The wind starting to pick up, the waves started to get bigger, the sky dark…things got very emotional during our shoot as Marcie was reflecting back to March. Ah! That moment was powerful. There was so much powerful yet calming energy surrounding us at the beach. Ohhh, can we go back?!

Needless to say, my shoot with Marcie was one of my top faves of 2018. On that day I decided I wanted to bring more of this style of work to my future clients. It was just us, the sea & an open sky for us to create magical photos together. And that’s why I decided that in July or August I’ll be hosting mini session at the CT shoreline!!

Hey Marcie, I miss you! Let’s grab lunch soon?

Never know how to end blog posts or Insta captions so I will just let the images do the talking. <3

Warmth & love,
V
